Under Mac and Linux, either syslog (configured using SyslogFacility under Linux), stderr or file.Under Windows, either stderr, file (configured using LogDir and LogFile), or EventLog (to write to the Windows Event Log service). To see a list of available activities, examine the Log names section in the advanced help output (run the command vncviewer -help all). determines the type of activity to record, for example connection, printing or file transfer activity, or * to record all. Specify an ordered, comma-separated list of activities to record, each of the form: See also: SecurityNotificationTimeout, WarnUnencrypted, RsaPrivateKeyFile This request is granted unless the VNC Server Encryption parameter is set to AlwaysMaximum or AlwaysOn. PreferOff to prefer that the exchange of authentication credentials be encrypted using at least 128-bit AES, but that sessions themselves need not be encrypted. This request is granted unless the VNC Server Encryption parameter is set to Alwaysoff. PreferOn to prefer that direct connections be encrypted end-to-end using at least 128-bit AES.AlwaysOn to request that direct connections be encrypted end-to-end using at least 128-bit AES.AlwaysMaximum to request that direct connections be encrypted end-to-end using 256-bit AES.By default, direct connections will be encrypted end-to-end unless the VNC Server Encryption parameter is set to PreferOff or AlwaysOff. *Do not edit this parameter if VNC Server has a Home or Professional subscription, or an Enterprise subscription and you intend to establish cloud connections to the VNC Server computer. However, it may be useful in the context of some regulatory compliance regimes, to guarantee that session data will never be transmitted via third party servers.Īn equivalent VNC Server AllowCloudRelay parameter is available to prevent cloud connections to particular computers. Setting this parameter to FALSE will cause an unquantifiable percentage of cloud connections to fail. Note that session data relayed via our cloud service is encrypted end-to-end, so cannot be deciphered by RealVNC, nor anyone else. However, intermediate network hardware may mean this is not possible, so the cloud service automatically falls back to relaying session data this ensures cloud connections succeed. Where possible, the cloud service then negotiates peer-to-peer sessions between endpoints, so session data is transmitted directly between them this is likely to be more performant. BTW: I'm running Centos 6.Specify FALSE to prevent cloud connections from the VNC Viewer computer if they would be relayed via RealVNC’s cloud service.Īll cloud connections are brokered by RealVNC’s cloud service. > have been discussed previously, but none have solved No VM IP or host name (unless I'm missing > So, I'm stuck in going any further until I get > and error "Unable to connect to the graphics server > console.vv or open it with the default viewer, which > If using VNC, then it wants to either download the > the user is initiating a console session. > nothing happens (no errors either), other than > admin using Spice browser plugin or native client > Using Firefox, if I try to open the console from > virt-manager (yum install virt-manager) > I broke down and created a new Centos 6.4 Desktop VM > After a frustrating few hours trying to get a > remote host up and running (separate physical > I'm a nube with ovirt, but have the ovirt-engine > Do you know of any spice graphic packages that don't need to > Once I plugged into the ovirt net it worked. > Running the script actually helped me get to the root > Looks like I need some UI driver help though. > I did not see that and it works, thank you! > On Sun, at 19:00 -0500, Drew Showers wrote: > And by graphic packages, I was assuming you meant graphics _driver_ By guest, I meant Virtual Machine guest, not your PC. > On Mon, at 12:04 -0500, Drew Showers wrote: > On Feb 11, 2014, at 1:27 AM, Karli Sjöberg wrote: But remote-viewer won't launch because it can't connect to the graphics server. I have another machine running native CentOS. It works, but the Mac mouse is unusable when installing CentOS on the guest using remote-viewer. I have virt-viewer on my CentOS vm running on my Mac. The vm guest is CentOS 6.4 or 6.5 depending in the ISO image used.
